Hello there, my name is Ren— I'm an artist who loves the process of creating artwork: analog photography, mixed-media collage, embroidery, book-making and ceramics to name a few. I love learning and staying curious. My favorite camera is Polaroid SX-70 and the art of developing my own film will always be special to me. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the Pacific Northwest with my dog Ella. I'll use any excuse to celebrate with oysters or go to a vineyard or make a trip to find a chemical photobooth.

My photographic colleges are a permitted part of Columbia College Chicago and the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. My artwork has also been in featured in various publications including LENSCRATCH, Don't Take Pictures and AINT-BAD Magazine.

In 2022, I earned my masters degree in Art Therapy and Counseling via the high desert of Santa Fe, New Mexico. My goal as an art therapist is to utilize artistic mediums outside the traditional painting and drawing format with a trauma-informed lens.

Currently, I live in Tacoma, Washington and work as a Trauma-Informed Art Therapist, LMHCA, ATR-P in a private practice. In 2023, I founded Common Reed Project, a community based mural group focused on mental health awareness.
